“Great bag for quick trips that might be extended” 2010-08-16

I Bought this bag to have for quick outings to a store and for when we are at the beach instead of having to lug the larger diaper bag about for our 4 month old. The bag is small, light wieght and very comfortable, however do not let the size of the bag turn you away. The main compartment is pretty large and does expand. I was able to fit 4 diapers, a wipe container (holds about 75 wipes), the changing pad, extra oneesie, and a large burp cloth.
The middle compartment is deeper than it looks and holds a lot of items. I normally keep about 10 plastic bags for dirty diapers, small bottle of hand sanitizer, baby lotion, tube of A&D, and a few toyes,
The third compartment on the botton is the smallest of the three but still holds more than execpted and is very accessible and can be opened without taking the bag off. I keep my wallete and keys and anything else that I might need to get to.
The strap also contains a spot for a binki, cell phone (iPhone 3gs), pen holder, and small zippered pocket for credit cards. The binki, cell phone, and pen holder are great and see a lot of use. The credit card holder holds about two to three cards.
The only thing I wish was a little a better was the credit card holder and the insulated bag for bottles. The card holder seems a little short but the more I use it the easier the cards slide in and out. The bag for the bottle will only fit a single 9oz Avent bottle and two 4 oz Avent bottles, but since I use this bag for trips that are under 4 hours this has not been a problem for me.
If you are looking for a main diaper bag this is not the bag to use, but if you are looking for an extra bag for a bag for Dad this is the bag to get.

I was tired of carrying an enormous, boxy diaper bag and this seemed like a great alternative. The pockets are great for what I need to carry around for one toddler. I usually carry two diapers, wipes, change of clothes, snacks, camera and sometimes a sling. Not sure if I could pack enough for two kids. The only thing I would change is the clasp, I wish that it would cinch in and hold a little tighter. It’s sleek and much easier to carry around, especially when I’m chasing a toddler on the move.

I got this when my first son was born (4yrs ago) as a gift and took it everywhere I went … held onto it for my 2nd child and continue to use it daily. It fits all the “essentials” for quick trips. Great product – so useful!

My husband picked this bag as his “daddy bag” when we had our daughter, but now it’s my favorite. It’s just the right size for both of our essentials when we’re on short outings. I’ve had it hold: 1 water bottle, 2 diapers (2T), 1 pack wipes, 2 paci’s, my wallet & 2 small toiletry zipper bags, a change of her clothes, a few toys, and my cell phone and sunglasses. Pretty good, ay? I love it for active outings because it’s easy on my back and shoulders, and doesn’t fall off when I bend down. Know that it hugs your body across the back and right hip, so is unflattering on larger individuals.
The only problem I’ve had is one of the velcro pieces came hanging off after 2 years of occasional use, but I’ve just sewed it back on with black thread – easy enough.
Altogether, I love it!

I bought this bag as a result of becoming a SAHM and needing to take diapers, sippy cup, snacks, etc everywhere I go. The across the body design is so easy to put on and off (yes, without messing up my hair)and the pockets on the front make it so easy to get to what I need without digging around in the back of the bag! There are three pockets on the strap across the front. One large enough for a cell phone, another that is about 1/2 that size that also has a velcro closure and another zippered pocket for keeping cash, credit cards, etc. immediately handy. There’s even a pen holder! The pockets on the back of the bag are much larger than I anticipated and I can carry a hard-sided wipes case, 4 or 5 diapers (size 3) and my planner! I’ve also managed to fit a couple of disposable bibs and a pkg of handi-wipes in the main compartment too. The next one down is much larger than it looks from the outside and holds snacks, kleenex, pens, chapstick, a “diaper duck” and there’s still room for lots more. The final pocket on the back is easy reachable while the bag is being worn and can hold a small wallet, pens, checkbook, etc!
The bottle holder was something I was concerned about b/c of the people who have written negative comments in their reviews… I have no problems with it! The strap goes through several loops and velcro’s onto the bag, so I don’t see how it “just comes off” when removing a bottle or sippy cup from it, but maybe this has been changed in recent “models”. It’s even insulated and is large enough to hold my daughter’s sippy cups that are fairly large! The only issue I’ve been able to come up with is that when you slide the “gripper” to the very end of the loop to open the bottle holder it is difficult to get a hold on the loop again to pull the gripper back tight. I solved this by tying a piece of ribbon around the end of the loop so there’s something to easily grasp. (Plus it’s cute)
This bag is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone! I bought it to replace another similar style of bag I had that was not a diaper bag and can’t express how happy I am with my purchase! JJ Cole Logic Bag – Silver/Graphite
